Work continued on needle scaling rust and old paint off of 470’s boiler. Brian H, Paul VS, and John B all worked for several hours on the project. We have nearly reached the smokebox and will continue until 470’s boiler shell is clean.

Paul H worked for a while on NESCo archives, and Downeast Scenic Railroad crews spent the day winterizing shop buildings and train cars. As winter approaches, the work pace slows and projects move inside.

New England Steam Corporation will be manning a table at the Eastern Maine Model Railroad Club annual model train show in Brewer Maine on November 22nd, 2025. The show is located at Jeff’s Catering 53 Center Street. You are encouraged to visit the show and check out all the tables and vendors. We will be there from 10am - 3pm.
